Hoisington Rites

Nelsonville - Graveside services for Alonzo Hoisington 78 of 199 W Franklin Street will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in McDougal Cemetery. The Rev. Earl Appleman will officiate.

There will be no calling hours.

Mr. Hoisington died Sunday night in Mount St. Mary Hospital.

He was the son of the late George and Emma Coen Hoisington. He was a coal miner and a veteran of World War II.

Surving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Betty) Smith, Logan; a brother, Henry of Athens Route 2, four sisters, Iris Koppie and Catherine Hoisington, both of Cleveland, Helen Coen, Athens, and Addie Stover, Sarasota Fla, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel McDaniel, Ruby Kauffman and Lennie Bradbury, and a son Edward.
