Occupation:

'Dennis Hoisington came to Medfield, Mass in 1841 and in the firm of Goddard & Hoisington commenced the manufacture of tinware in a shop formerly owned by Artemus Woodward near the Orthodox church. In 1843 they bought the building formerly used as a Baptist Meeting House. After the dissolution of the firm in 1849, Mr. Hoisington carried on the business by himself. He is listed among the voters of Medfield in the list of Feb. 6, 1886 and as a taxpayer in the sum of $56.08 May, 1886'

History of the Town of Medfield, Mass. 1650-1886 by W.S. Tilden seen at Newberry Library June 1931 by Harry Hoisington.

Mentioned in the biography of Willard March on the internet:
'After working on the home farm until he (Willard March) was twenty-two years old (1844), he moved to Medfield, MA where he was employed by Mr. Dennis Hossington traveling in a tin cart, for which he received wages that amounted to only thirty cents a day.'
