'If he had children by her their names are not known. The Vermont Census of 1790 gives Ebenezer Hoisington as Head of a family of 2 males under 16, 1 over 16 and 4 females.

By Windsor Town Clerk record 'Ebenezer Hoisington Russell adopted son of Ebenezer Hoisington, Jr. and Sarah, his wife b. at Windsor Nov. 4, 1795, recorded June 15 1802 at the request of said Ebenezer Hoisington' [Note: this was Nathaniel's stepson]
