She is listed as his wife on a land transaction in Jackson, Jackson, MI in 1884. See note for property 1884.

Edward D. Hoisington sold Lot 14 of Livermore's Addition, Jackson City to George D. Brown and Celeste Brown, his wife, for $150.

Edward D. Hoisington and Sarah Hoisington, his wife, sold Lot 14 in Jackson City to Alexander Brown Jr. of Jackson City for $1. "This deed being made to said party of the second part for the purpose of enabling him to reconvey the said real estate to said parties of the first part hereto so as to vest in them as husband and wife a joint estate with right of survivorship as provided by statute."
