Funeral Service for Julia Rose “Judy” LeClair, 36, will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Ponca Indian United Methodist Church with the pastor, The Rev. Stanford White Star, officiating. Burial will follow in Ponca Indian Cemetery under direction of Gill-Lessert Funeral Home.
Casketbearers will be Thomas H. Knight, Starling Knight, Damon McCarty, Shawn McCarty, Todd Brumfield and John Brumfield. Honorary bearers will be Carter Camp, Craig Camp, Dwain Camp and Larry DeLodge.
Born in Ponca City on Dec. 3, 1945, Judy attended school in Hominy and graduated from the Chilocco Indian School.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Eva Childs of Morrison; two sons, Monte L. Harris of Anadarko, and Gus Harris of Morrison; two daughters, Michelle Harris of Shreveport, La., and Naomie LeClair of the home, 414 North First; three brothers, Paige McDonald of Glencoe, Charles McDonald of Houma, La., and Roland Childs of Guthrie; four sisters, Thelma McCarty of Anadarko, Ann Breen of Tulsa, Patsy Rhymes of Shreveport, La., and Geana Rush of Alva.
The body will lie in state at the Ponca Indian United Methodist Church until funeral time.
