Enterprise's first newspaper was launched in 1873. The paper changed hands many times. Roy Hoisington published the weekly paper, followed by C. H. Johnson. In 1936, A. J. "Bert" Hoisington, son of Roy, became owner and editor. He held the reins for forty-five years.

4. James Hamilton RILEY. Born on 30 May 1841 in Wayne Co, Indiana. James Hamilton died in Enterprise, Kansas on 14 Nov 1922, he was 81.
On 14 Oct 1866 when James Hamilton was 25, he married Mary Rose Ann Wagoman, daughter of William Wagoman & Wife1 Wagoman, in Etna Green, Indiana.
They had the following children:
i. Oliver Phenton. Born on 22 Jul 1867 in of Kosciusko Co, IN.ii. Albert Francis. Born on 11 May 1871 in of Etna Green, IN.
iii. Charles Wilford. Born on 9 Nov 1873 in Etna Green, IN.
iv. Darrell Dane "D.D.". Born on 16 Sep 1877 in Rochester, IN. Darrell Dane "D.D." died in Minot, ND on 29 Feb 1952, he was 74.
On 29 Dec 1908 when Darrell Dane "D.D." was 31, he married D. Jessie FINLEY, daughter of Isaac FINLEY & Vienna Celestia CURRIER. Born on 9 Sep 1876 in St Charles, Kane, IL. D. Jessie died in Irvine, Orange, CA on 24 Sep 1973, she was 97.v. Maggie Laura Lucretia.
Maggie Laura Lucretia married Roy HOISINGTON.
